So put on your apron and grab you favorite mixing bowl, it’s time to rock and roll.

Ingredients

1 C Ricotta
2 Tbl Lemon
2 Olive Oil
1 Tbl Savory Seekers Seasoning Salt
1 Tbl Garlic Powder
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 Tbl Thyme, Fresh
1 Tbl Oregano, Fresh
1 Tbl Basil, Fresh
2 Tbl Scallions
1 Tbl Red Pepper Flakes

Herbed Ricotta Spread Method

1. Start this food adventure by adding the ricotta, lemon juice and olive oil to a medium sized bowl. Mix these ingredients together and break up any ricotta chunks that stick together.

2. Next mince all the fresh herbs and the scallions. Then add them and the spices to the ricotta mixture and stir together. You want to be sure everything is combined well and evenly distributed.

3. Place your herbed ricotta spread uncovered in the fridge for about one hour or two, until the mixture is nice and cold. You want to allow all the flavors to merry before adding any extra salt or seasoning.

4. Next, it is time to give it a taste and add in anything extra you might like, more lemon or salt maybe?
If you are happy with the flavors then you have two choices, eat it or cover it up and save it for later.

5. This herbed ricotta spread is great on toast or bagels and a wonderful dip for veggies and chips. We love to spread it on our homemade baguettes, ( recipe coming soon ). You can easily change up the herbs to adjust to whatever flavor profile you might like.

6. All that is left now is to enjoy this cheesy masterpiece. Not only is it delicious and healthy it is a fraction of the cost of store-bought cheese spreads.
